Parigi 2024, sfilata delle atlete olimpiche per l'uguaglianza di genere

Una sfilata di atlete ed ex atlete olimpiche e paralimpiche per sensibilizzare sul tema della parità di genere si è svolta domenica mattina a Parigi fuori dal Grand Opéra Garnier. Tra le decine di atlete che hanno rinunciato al loro consueto abbigliamento sportivo per sfilare come modelle, la nuotatrice qatariota Nada Arkaji e la judoka capoverdiana Sandrine Billiet. Le partecipanti hanno lodato il fatto che Parigi 2024 sia la prima edizione delle Olimpiadi in cui le donne sono lo stesso numero degli uomini, ma hanno anche avvertito: c'è ancora lavoro da fare per la parità nei ruoli di allenatore e personale medico.
