Povertà: Boccia, 'social card elemosina elettorale, offendono chi ha bisogno'

Roma, 6 giu. (Adnkronos) - “La campagna elettorale giustifica le promesse ma non le prese in giro, men che meno le umiliazioni per chi è in stato di bisogno. Con il Governo Meloni si è passati dal reddito di cittadinanza per chi viveva in condizioni difficili senza trovar lavoro (la media italiana era di 576 euro con il tetto di 780 euro al mese) a poco più di un caffè al giorno con 41,6 euro al mese. Una vergogna". Così il presidente dei senatori del Pd Francesco Boccia durante una iniziativa elettorale a Statte, in provincia di Taranto, con la candidata a sindaca Debora Artuso. "E quella fatta dal Governo stamattina in conferenza stampa è una presa in giro alle centinaia di migliaia di famiglie che beneficiano di ‘Dedicata a te'. Sbandierare come un grande successo un contributo di 41,6 euro annui, che per di più partirà dai prossimi mesi vuol dire offendere chi è in gravi difficoltà. Siamo di fronte ad una elemosina elettorale, che ricorda altri tempi, di cui questo governo dovrebbe provare la stessa vergogna che provano tutti gli italiani. Il Sud, dove più risiedono le famiglie bisognose che usufruiscono delle diverse forme di sostegno, ha bisogno di servizi sanitari, di scuole potenziate e trasporti adeguati e non di queste elemosine”.
