"Premio a Putin, fine alla guerra": scoop e smentita sul piano di Trump, sospetti sulla Casa Bianca

Un "piano segreto" per fermare la guerra in Ucraina in "24 ore". L'America e il mondo con il fiato sospeso per l'indiscrezione del Washington Post su Donald Trump. L'ex presidente e attuale candidato alla presidenza per i repubblicani avrebbe detto in alcune conversazioni private che può fermare la guerra della Russia contro l'Ucraina costringendo il governo di Kiev a rinunciare alla Crimea e al Donbass, le aree che sono state occupate dalle truppe di Mosca. Di fatto, una resa incondizionata al Cremlino o giù di lì. Viene dunque il sospetto che lo scoop del WP, che cita "fonti informate" sia un pezzetto della macchina del fango mediatica contro Trump, dipinto dai democratici nella migliore delle ipotesi come un "amico di Vladimir Putin" e nella peggiore come "un folle". Accreditare la tesi di un Donald pronto a fotografare all'istante la situazione esistente e concedere "tutto" allo Zar convincerebbe gli indecisi a schierarsi con i democratici, magari preoccupati per una "resa" al nemico russo. Non a caso, il consigliere di Trump Jason Miller ha smentito categoricamente quanto riportato dal quotidiano della Capitale. Secondo il retroscena del Washington Post, Trump sarebbe convinto che sia la Russia che l'Ucraina "vogliono salvare la faccia, vogliono una via d'uscita" e ci sono persone in alcune parti dell'Ucraina che sarebbero d'accordo se facessero parte della Russia. In questi mesi di campagna elettorale, Trump si era spesso vantato di poter negoziare un accordo di pace tra Putin Zelensky entro 24 ore qualora fosse eletto alla Casa Bianca, anche prima di entrare in carica, pur senza scendere mai troppo nei dettagli. Miller, in un commento al New York Post, ha però smentito questa ricostruzione bollandola quelle del Washington Post come fake news: i suoi giornalisti "stanno solo inventando tutto". Allo stesso tempo, il consigliere di Trump ha osservato che lui, a differenza di Joe Biden, sta parlando di fermare gli omicidi.
