Roma, 26 set. (askanews) - Al termine di un intenso sforzo diplomatico all'Onu, Francia e Stati Uniti, insieme a Paesi arabi ed europei, hanno chiesto un cessate il fuoco temporaneo di 21 giorni tra Israele e Hezbollah, per creare una finestra di trattativa ed evitare che quella del Libano si trasformi in una guerra regionale di ampia portata. "Come potete vedere, abbiamo rilasciato una dichiarazione per un cessate il fuoco di 21 giorni lungo il confine israelo-libanese. È stata in grado di generare un sostegno significativo da parte dell'Europa e dei Paesi arabi. È importante che questa guerra non si allarghi, domani avrò più da dire al riguardo", ha annunciato Biden.
