"Può portare all'Alzheimer". Caffé: ecco qual è il limite di tazzine al giorno

Il caffè è uno di quei riti che nella vita di un italiano che si rispetti non può di certo mancare. Ma la bevanda energizzante nasconde anche dei lati negativi. Uno studio presentato alla conferenza dell'Associazione Internazionale Alzheimer ha spiegato che un uso eccessivo di caffè può provocare dei gravi rischi per la salute delle persone. Ovviamente, come in tutte le cose, ci vuole misura. "Il troppo stroppia. Ovvero ci vuole misura: un consumo moderato di caffè va bene ma troppo non è probabilmente da raccomandare", ha spiegato la ricercatrice dello studio Kelsey R. Sewell. Secondo la studiosa, Il 18% del campione ha detto di bere quattro o più tazze di caffè al giorno; il 58% da una a tre e il 25% di non bere mai caffè "I grandi consumatori hanno mostrato il declino più rapido nell'intelligenza fluida, rispetto agli altri e - ha poi aggiunto la ricercatrice - i nostri dati suggeriscono che invece nel periodo di tempo esaminato un consumo moderato può assumere un qualche ruolo protettivo contro il declino cognitivo". Il declino cognitivo, come rivelato dallo studio, si manifesta con un alto consumo di caffé. Il thé, invece, presenta un quadro piuttosto diverso. Per il thé il 47% beveva 4 o più tazze al giorno, il 38%da una a tre tazze e il 15% di non bere thé. È emerso che chi non aveva mai bevuto il thè aveva un maggior declino dell'intelligenza fluida, rispetto a chi ne aveva un consumo moderato o elevato.
