Quirinale: Sovranità tecnologica, Mattarella a Cotec con Capi Stato Spagna e Portogallo

Roma, 18 set. (Adnkronos) - Di fronte al continuo avanzamento tecnologico, che acquisisce sempre più rilevanza praticamente in tutti gli aspetti della vita, la sovranità tecnologica emerge come un elemento essenziale, per consentire ai Paesi di prendere decisioni in modo autonomo, senza dipendere da terzi. É il tema del diciassettesimo Simposio della Fondazione Cotec, che come da tradizione verrà concluso dagli interventi dei Capi di Stato di Spagna, Italia e Portogallo. Sede dell'incontro quest'anno Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, dove domani sera il Re di Spagna, Filippo VI, accoglierà il Presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella, e quello del Portogallo, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. Venerdì 20 i loro discorsi, in programma a partire dalle 12, al culmine di una riflessione finalizzata a valutare come l'Europa possa acquisire maggiore indipendenza rispetto agli altri attori globali in settori strategici che ormai vanno di pari passo con l'innovazione tecnologica: energia, infrastrutture critiche, economia in generale, difesa. Questioni che si legano al recente rapporto elaborato da Mario Draghi sulla competitività europea, che naturalmente non può prescindere da maggiori investimenti in ricerca, tecnologia e innovazione.
