Schillaci, ‘donne del Sud devono aderire di più a screening'

Roma, 9 mag. - (Adnkronos Salute) - “Vorrei ricordare come in Italia, da tanti anni, lo screening per il tumore al seno rappresenta uno di quelli offerti gratuitamente dal Sistema sanitario nazionale, con un'adesione che, purtroppo, è molto variabile da regione a regione. È importante far capire alle donne, quando arriva la richiesta, quanto è importante aderire. È un peccato che non ci sia una adesione ancora maggiore agli screening. Le donne del Sud devono aderire agli screening come avviene, in maggior misura, al Centro e al Nord”. Cosi il ministro della Salute Orazio Schillaci, a margine dell'inaugurazione del Villaggio della Salute della Race for the Cure questa mattina al Circo Massimo, a Roma. "Ci sono regioni più o meno performanti - ha rimarcato il ministro - Dobbiamo lavorare per non lasciare indietro nessuno”.
