Schillaci: "Screening pediatrico diabete e celiachia su scala nazionale"

Roma, 17 set. (Adnkronos Salute) - "L'approvazione all'unanimità della legge 130 è un importante traguardo per l'Italia, che posiziona la nazione come il primo Paese ad avere una legge che garantisca la prevenzione di due patologie estremamente diffuse, quali diabete e celiachia". A un anno dalla legge, "la prevenzione pediatrica è una sfida che abbiamo già iniziato a vincere. L'avvio del progetto di screening in quattro regioni - Lombardia, Marche, Campania e Sardegna - è solo l'inizio e miriamo ad estendere il programma su scala nazionale. Questo progetto, reso possibile dalla prima norma in campo di prevenzione, conferisce all'Italia un ruolo di leader mondiale nel campo della prevenzione pediatrica di diabete di tipo 1 e celiachia". Lo ha detto il ministro della Salute Orazio Schillaci, nel messaggio di saluto inviato all'evento di presentazione del White paper 'Screening pediatrico per il diabete di tipo 1 e la celiachia', oggi in Sala Giacomo Matteotti della Camera dei deputati nel corso dell'evento ‘Screening pediatrico per diabete di tipo 1: nuove raccomandazioni per l'implementazione a livello nazionale'.
