Tajani incontra ministro cinese, prima volta da stop "Belt and Road"

Roma, 11 apr. (askanews) - Quella che si è tenuta a Venezia e Verona è una Commissione economica mista Italia-Cina (CEM) dal significato particolare, dopo la decisione italiana di non rinnovare l'intesa sulla Nuova Via della Seta ("Belt and Road") e in un momento di particolare tensione internazionale sia sul fronte europeo che su quello asiatico. Il ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani, dopo la visita a settembre a Pechino, è alla ricerca di una "fase nuova" nei rapporti con la Cina e ha ricevuto a Venezia la delegazione cinese guidata dal ministro del Commercio Wang Wentao. Poi i due ministri si sono spostati a Verona, dove sono stati accolti dal sindaco Damiano Tommasi presso lo storico Palazzo della Prefettura. La commissione si è così riunita in una grande sala. "É stata una riunione positiva, per essere concreti, abbiamo preso alcune decisioni: è stato deciso di convocare ogni anno una sessione della commissione economica mista Italia-Cina e di convocare ogni sei mesi una riunione tra piccole e medie imprese a livello tecnico perché si possa collaborare". Venerdì 12 aprile Tajani e Wang apriranno presso Veronafiere i lavori del Forum di dialogo imprenditoriale Italia-Cina. La Commissione economica mista Italia-Cina (CEM) è il principale strumento di cooperazione con la Cina in materia economica e commerciale ed è inclusa tra i meccanismi di dialogo del Partenariato strategico globale istituito nel 2004.
