Usa: 1 morto e 23 turisti salvati in incidente miniera d'oro in Colorado

Washington, 11 ott. (Adnkronos) - Una persona è morta e altre 23 sono state salvate dopo il malfunzionamento dell'ascensore in una miniera d'oro in disuso in Colorado. Due gruppi di 12 turisti stavano visitando la miniera d'oro Mollie Kathleen a Cripple Creek, un'attrazione turistica privata, quando si è verificato il guasto all'ascensore che ha costretto un gruppo a rimanere bloccato sottoterra per sei ore. Nel primo gruppo, una persona è morta, mentre gli altri 11 turisti, tra cui due bambini, sono stati tratti in salvo, quattro dei quali hanno riportato ferite lievi. Il secondo gruppo di dodici persone è stato riportato in salvo più tardi. Secondo il sito web dell'operatore turistico, il tour della durata di un'ora porta i visitatori a 305 metri di profondità nel pozzo, nel versante sud-occidentale di Pikes Peak.
