Usa: 25 arresti in proteste filo palestinesi alla Ucla

Los Angeles, 11 giu. (Adnkronos) - Circa 25 persone sono state arrestate durante le proteste filopalestinesi all'Università della California di Los Angeles. La polizia è intervenuta bloccando i tentativi dei manifestanti di allestire un nuovo accampamento anti-israeliano presso l'Ucla, dove gli agenti hanno sgomberato un precedente campo la scorsa primavera, dopo che era stato attaccato dai contro-manifestanti in seguito alle crescenti accuse di atti antisemiti contro gli studenti ebrei. Videoclip mostrano manifestanti mascherati che si avvicinavano violentemente al rabbino Dovid Gurevich definendolo un "pedofilo" e che aggrediscono una guardia di sicurezza con un telefonino. I manifestanti sono stati arrestati per interruzione intenzionale delle attività universitarie e una per aver ostacolato un agente, afferma in una nota la polizia. Successivamente sono stati rilasciati con l'ordine di stare lontani dall'università per 14 giorni. I manifestanti hanno ripetutamente tentato di montare tende, tettoie e barriere, interrompendo gli esami finali in corso di svolgimento all'interno del campus. Secondo la polizia, il gruppo si è reso autore di numerosi atti vandalici.
