Usa: Lavrov, 'Washington subordina Europa a propri interessi'

Mosca, 23 lug. (Adnkronos) - Gli Stati Uniti considerano l'Europa come una rivale e stanno cercando di metterla sotto controllo. Lo ha affermato, in un incontro con i responsabili delle organizzazioni non-profit russe, il ministro degli Esteri russo Sergey Lavrov, aggiungendo che "l'Europa è vista dagli Stati Uniti come una rivale, così come la Russia e la Cina. Oggi, vediamo l'Europa inchinarsi agli Stati Uniti quando la Germania, la spina dorsale del sistema politico ed economico europeo, ha ingoiato silenziosamente l'attacco terroristico al Nord Stream, che ha minato le fondamenta del suo benessere economico e sociale, come se fosse così che doveva essere". Secondo Lavrov, la deindustrializzazione in corso in Europa è ciò che Washington cerca da tempo, ovvero "non permettere a Russia e Germania di avere relazioni più strette". Gli Stati Uniti, a suo dire, vedono la robusta crescita di Europa e Russia come una minaccia, poiché dispongono di enormi quantità di risorse e accesso alle tecnologie più recenti. Nonostante ciò, stanno emergendo centri di potere alternativi e il Sud e l'Est del mondo stanno consolidando le loro posizioni, ha sottolineato Lavrov.
