West Nile, venti giorni di agonia l'atroce morte di Roberto: ora è paura a Ravenna

Una morte atroce. Dopo venti giorni di sofferenza, un uomo di 78 anni è morto a Russi, provincia di Ravenna, nella notte tra lunedì e martedì a causa dell'infezione da virus West Nile. La vittima è Roberto Ronconi, un appassionato di fotografia, che aveva iniziato a manifestare i primi sintomi a metà luglio. La notizia è stata riportata dal Resto del Carlino di Ravenna. Questo è il secondo decesso in Emilia-Romagna legato al virus: dieci giorni fa, un uomo di 89 anni è morto dopo aver contratto l'infezione a Carpi. In risposta all'aumento dei casi, l'Emilia-Romagna ha intensificato le misure di prevenzione, includendo trattamenti disinfestanti adulticidi su base settimanale fino al 30 settembre nelle strutture socio-assistenziali e negli ospedali dei Comuni con maggiore presenza del virus. Sono stati anche previsti interventi straordinari preventivi in occasione di eventi serali all'aperto con grande affluenza di persone.
