Gli Stati Uniti, l’Unione Europea e le nazioni arabe richiedono una tregua di 21 giorni in Libano

Dall'8 ottobre, i crescenti conflitti tra Israele e Libano hanno portato a tensioni insostenibili, aumentando il rischio di un'escalation. Si richiede quindi un cessate il fuoco di 21 giorni lungo il confine tra i due paesi. Questa richiesta è sostenuta da Stati Uniti, Australia, Canada, Unione Europea, Francia, Germania, Italia, Giappone, Arabia Saudita, Emirati Arabi Uniti e Qatar. Il primo ministro libanese, Najib Mikati, ha accusato Israele di violare la sovranità del Libano, causando danni a civili e infrastrutture.
