Oltre 100 tonnellate di pesci morti sono state raccolte nel porto di Volos e nei dintorni, nella Grecia centrale: una moria di massa legata a fluttuazioni climatiche estreme. Lo hanno riferito le autorità locali. I pesci d'acqua dolce morti hanno riempito sia la baia, 320 chilometri a nord di Atene, sia i fiumi vicini, dopo che i livelli dell'acqua sono stati gonfiati dalle inondazioni dello scorso anno, seguite da mesi di grave siccità. Secondo la Camera di Commercio di Volos, la moria di pesci ha avuto un impatto sulle imprese locali sul lungomare, con una riduzione dell'attività commerciale dell'80% negli ultimi 3 giorni. "La forte puzza che si respira sul lungomare è ripugnante sia per i residenti che per i visitatori, e rappresenta un duro colpo per il turismo di Volos", attacca il sindaco.
