"Anche di lui dicevano che era da buttare via": Pioli, clamoroso sfogo dopo lo scudetto dell'Inter

Che fine fa adesso Stefano Pioli? Soltanto due stagioni fa galoppava verso uno Scudetto atteso dal Milan undici anni, soltanto l'anno scorso guadagnava la semifinale di Champions League, dopo aver battuto nel doppio confronto quel Napoli, allora stellare, che decollava verso il terzo storico Scudetto, dominando e dando spettacolo. Ora, come il lato oscuro della medaglia, tutto si è capovolto: eliminato nella fase a gironi di Champions League, fuori dalla Coppa Italia a Gennaio, sconfitto dalla Roma di De Rossi ai quarti di Europa League e secondo in campionato a -17 dall'Inter campione d'Italia, che gli ha vinto in casa il sesto derby di fila, prendendosi la seconda stella. È finito un ciclo? A fine stagione è necessario il cambio in panchina per il Milan, dopo quattro anni e mezzo del regno di Pioli? L'allenatore, intervistato a fine partita, affranto ha provato ad aggrapparsi al precedente del suo collega, Simone Inzaghi, che veniva dato per partente soltanto un anno fa: “Non so se al Milan è finito un ciclo. Quello che so è che quattordici mesi fa dicevano che Simone Inzaghi era da buttare via e guardate cosa ha fatto. Io qui sto bene, sto lavorando bene, penso che la squadra abbia ancora grandi margini di miglioramento. Dobbiamo finire bene la stagione e poi, a bocce ferme, faremo tutte le valutazioni e ciò che deve essere fatto sarà fatto". La differenza tra Pioli e Inzaghi, però, sta nell'ambiente. Quello interista, seppur infastidito e irritato per un campionato non all'altezza, ha potuto sognare fino alla fine la Champions League, poi persa contro il Manchester City, restando compatto e anche contento per la prova di forza data dai nerazzurri contro lo squadrone di Guardiola. E il resto è storia. I milanisti, invece, erano già delusi e stanchi dopo il quarto derby di fila perso in pochi mesi tra Supercoppa italiana, stracittadina di ritorno e le due sfide europee senz'appello. Il mercato estivo aveva ridato entusiasmo, ma poi il campionato prima, con il quinto derby perso malamente 5-1, e l'uscita dalla Champions poi hanno totalmente azzerato l'empatia tra la Curva Sud e l'allenatore parmigiano. E ora, anche la dirigenza sembra averlo scaricato, co Zlatan Ibrahimovic già a caccia del sostituto. Insomma, da “Pioli is on fire” a “Pioli is fired”.
