Attacco col coltello in chiesa a Sydney: "Atto terroristico"

Sydney, 16 apr. (askanews) - La polizia australiana cerca altre prove all'esterno di una chiesa di Sydney dove sono state accoltellate due persone, fra cui il vescovo. "Lo consideriamo un atto terroristico - ha detto Karen Webb commissaria di polizia delle forze del Nuovo Galles del Sud spiegando che la polizia è intervenuta e ha arrestato un minorenne. Il Paese è scosso dal secondo atto di violenza in pochi giorni, dopo l'assalto di un uomo in un centro commerciale che con un coltello ha aggredito e ucciso sei persone. "Si tratta di un incidente inquietante - ha detto il premier Anthony Albnese - Non c'è posto per la violenza nella nostra comunità, non c'è posto per l'estremismo violento. Siamo una nazione che ama la pace. È il momento di unirsi, non di dividersi, come comunità e come Paese".
