Bangladesh, oltre 200 morti negli scontri: manifestanti verso Dacca

I manifestanti antigovernativi in tutto il Bangladesh stanno marciando verso la capitale, Dacca, dopo un fine settimana di violenza che ha causato decine di morti, mentre l'esercito ha imposto un coprifuoco a tempo indeterminato e le autorità hanno interrotto la connessione Internet mobile nel tentativo di arginare i disordini. Almeno 95 persone, tra cui 14 poliziotti, sono morte negli scontri di domenica, secondo il principale quotidiano in lingua bengalese del Paese. Le dimostrazioni sono iniziate con gli studenti che cercavano di porre fine a un sistema di quote per i lavori governativi, ma gli scontri con la polizia e gli attivisti pro-governativi sono degenerati in violenze che hanno causato più di 200 morti. Ciò ha spinto i leader delle proteste e dell'opposizione a chiedere le dimissioni del primo ministro Sheikh Hasina, allargando le proteste in tutto il Paese.
