Biden “Serve unità contro la violenza”

WASHINGTON (STATI UNITI) (ITALPRESS) – “L'unità è l'obiettivo più sfuggente di tutti, ma niente è più importante in questo momento. Un tentativo di assassinio è contrario a tutto ciò che rappresentiamo come nazione. In America non c'è posto per questo o qualsiasi altro tipo di violenza”. Lo ha detto il presidente degli Stati Uniti Joe Biden, in un breve discorso alla stampa alla Casa Bianca, in merito all'attentato a Donald Trump a Butler, in Pennsylvania, che ha causato il lieve ferimento dell'ex presidente.Biden ha espresso il cordoglio ai familiari della vittima, un vigile del fuoco in pensione, e ha riferito di aver avuto una “breve ma piacevole conversazione” con Trump.“Donald Trump è l'ex presidente. Ha già un livello elevatissimo di sicurezza e io ho ripetuto di dargli tutte le misure di sicurezza necessarie – ha detto ancora Biden -. Ho chiesto di potenziare tutti i provvedimenti di sicurezza. Questo nuovo piano sarà implementato già domani”.
