Cannes, Palma d'oro a "Anora" di Sean Baker. Premiate quattro attrici

Roma, 26 mag. (askanews) - "Anora" di Sean Baker ha vinto la Palma d'Oro del 77esimo Festival di Cannes. Niente da fare per l'Italia, nessun premio per "Parthenope" di Paolo Sorrentino. La giuria guidata da Greta Gerwig, in cui c'era anche Pierfrancesco Favino, ha detto di aver giudicato con il cuore: "Ci ha trasportato collettivamente - ha spiegato la regista di 'Barbie' sul vincitore - ci ha commosso. Ci è sembrato nuovo ma allo stesso tempo in dialogo con forme di cinema più antiche". Il film è una commedia su una ragazza, interpretata dall'apprezzatissima Mikey Madison, che lavora come sex worker in uno strip club di Manhattan. Il regista statunitense ha parlato di un sogno che si avvera e ha detto di voler dedicare il film alle lavoratrici del sesso: "È il mestiere più antico, eppure nulla è cambiato nei suoi confronti. La mia speranza è di aver raccontato una storia che umanizza chi fa questo lavoro". Il Grand Prix è andato all'India, a "All We Imagine As Light" di Payal Kapadia; mentre un Premio Speciale è stato assegnato a "Il seme del fico sacro" del regista iraniano fuggito dal suo Paese Mohammad Rasoulof, accolto da un'ovazione. "Spero che grazie alla mia presenza a Cannes, la voce dei cineasti che lavorano in Iran, nonostante la repressione e il fortissimo controllo su di loro, venga ascoltata in tutto il mondo", ha detto commosso. Miglior regista Miguel Gomes per "Grand Tour". Miglior attore Jesse Plemons per "Kinds of Kindness" del regista greco Yorgos Lanthimos; in quattro hanno vinto come migliori attrici, quelle del film "Emilia Pérez" di Jacques Audiard, tra l'altro vincitore del Premio speciale della Giuria: Adriana Paz, Zoe Saldana, Selena Gomez e Karla Sofìa Gascon, la prima transgender a ricevere il premio. Premio per la sceneggiatura alla francese Coralie Fargeat per il body horror "The Substance" con Demi Moore. Un'edizione che si è conclusa anche con la Palma d'oro onoraria a George Lucas consegnata da un altro peso massimo del cinema, Francis Ford Coppola, rimasto però senza premi per il suo "Megalopolis".
