Com'è ridotta la Cuba comunista: blackout, la protesta in strada con pentole e padelle

Alcuni cubani hanno inscenato domenica sera una protesta per l'interruzione di corrente che ha coinvolto tutta l'isola. A Santo Suárez, un quartiere dell'Avana sud-occidentale, alcuni residenti hanno iniziato a sbattere pentole e padelle in strada: il blackout sull'isola ha provocato problemi alla conservazione del cibo, agli spostamenti, alle pompe dell'acqua ed è avvenuto mentre l'uragano Oscar si è abbattuto sulla costa orientale di Cuba. Il ministro dell'Energia di Cuba ha dichiarato di sperare che l'energia elettrica venga ripristinata entro la fine di lunedì o l'inizio di martedì (l'interruzione è iniziata venerdì). Il blackout è stato considerato il peggiore degli ultimi due anni a Cuba, dopo che nel 2022 l'uragano Ian era arrivato sull'isola come tempesta di categoria 3 e aveva danneggiato gli impianti elettrici. Ci sono voluti giorni perché il governo li riparasse. Quest'anno, alcune case hanno trascorso fino a otto ore al giorno senza elettricità.
