Jannik Sinner in conferenza stampa ha dato qualche dettaglio sul malessere che l'ha costretto a richiedere un medical time out all'inizio del terzo set nel quarto di finale di Wimbledon contro Daniil Medvedev, poi perso al quinto set. "Stanotte non mi sentivo molto bene e non ho riposato - ha detto - quando sono uscito dal campo mi girava la testa: è stato il momento più complicato ma non ho vomitato e comunque non ho mai pensato al ritiro". "Oggi tante cose piccole hanno fatto la differenza: il livello è così alto che se sbagli perdi la partita. Oggi dovevo far meglio tante cose e non ci sono riuscito. Va bene lo stesso: dobbiamo imparare da questi errori". Jannik Sinner ai microfoni di Sky sintetizza così la sconfitta odierna nei quarti di finale di Wimbledon contro Daniil Medvedev, la prima da quando è ufficialmente n.1 del mondo. Una partita in cui ha avuto un piccolo malore, a cui però Sinner non dà la colpa della sconfitta. "Ora dobbiamo vedere la cosa in maniera positiva: quest'anno ho perso davvero poche partite. Ora devo riposare ed essere pronto per le olimpiadi. Poi per gli Us Open. Per me ormai contano solo i tornei grandi, quelli importanti - aggiunge - sono arrivato qui in ottima forma, ma oggi è andata così. Lui ha giocato bene".
