Crosetto in Giappone: cooperazione fondamentale per il futuro

Tokyo, 27 ago. (askanews) - Una visita di grande successo secondo la stampa nipponica, una spinta verso una maggiore interoperabilità, "cruciale" per rafforzare la deterrenza regionale, e anche la volontà di una cooperazione più ampia con Tokyo, oltre alla dimostrazione da parte giapponese di grande rispetto nei confronti del nostro Paese. Il ministro della Difesa, Guido Crosetto, a Tokyo ha incontrato l'omologo, Minoru Kihara, ringraziando il collega per l'accoglienza, particolarmente calorosa. "Intanto per averci fatto l'onore di essere venuto ieri a visitare Nave Vespucci, ti ringrazio per l'accoglienza che la Marina giapponese ha dato a Nave Cavour, al Gruppo Navale in visita in Giappone". Crosetto ha sottolineato come siano molto importanti questi giorni nel regno del Sol Levante. "Perché la cooperazione tra Italia e Giappone, anche nell'addestramento, nel campo navale e in campo aeronautico, è fondamentale per il futuro. Già l'anno scorso con la visita dei nostri aerei, quest'anno con la nave e con gli aerei, è il percorso che abbiamo iniziato col programma GCAP". Il Global Combat Air Program (GCAP) è un programma da miliardi di dollari, il primo importante legame della difesa del Giappone con Paesi diversi dagli Stati Uniti e secondo lo stesso ministro ha un potenziale rivoluzionario.
