Londra, 8 ago. (Adnkronos) - Re Carlo riceve aggiornamenti regolari sull'ondata di rivolte scoppiate nel Regno Unito in seguito agli accoltellamenti di Southport, in cui tre bambini hanno perso la vita quando un adolescente ha attaccato una scuola di danza a tema Taylor Swift. Carlo, assieme alla regina Camilla, ha voluto esprimere vicinanza alle famiglie delle vittime e ai feriti a causa dell'ondata di episodi di razzismo in Gran Bretagna: "Inviamo le nostre più sentite condoglianze, preghiere e la più profonda solidarietà - ha scritto in un messaggio - alle famiglie e ai cari di coloro che hanno perso la vita in modo così tragico, e a tutti coloro che sono stati colpiti da questo attacco davvero spaventoso". Secondo quanto appreso da Sky News, il re, dalla sua dimora di Balmoral, in Scozia, dove si trova in vacanza, domanda aggiornamenti quotidiani sull'evoluzione dei disordini. Carlo è da sempre impegnato nelle questioni legate alla coesione della comunità e al dialogo interreligioso. Fonti reali hanno riferito al Mirror che, oltre a monitorare gli eventi, il sovrano e altri membri della famiglia reale potrebbero visitare le comunità colpite dalle rivolte. Eventuali visite sarebbero pianificate in collaborazione con le forze di polizia competenti per non gravare ulteriormente sui servizi di emergenza.
