Digitale terrestre, ecco i modelli di tv da cambiare: come capirlo, il test da fare subito

Come capire se il nostro televisore "reggerà" alla nuova rivoluzione del digitale terrestre o se invece sarà da cambiare. E' questo l'interrogativo che terrà banco nelle prossime settimane tra molti italiani. A due anni dall'ultimo ribaltone-decoder (con il passaggio dal sistema di codifica MPEG2 al MPEG4 AVC) arriva ora lo switch-off del DVB-T e, secondo passo, del DVB-T2, una sigla che sta per "Digital Video Broadcasting - 2nd Generation Terrestrial". Il sistema, tra l'altro, libererà le frequenze a 700 MHz per "fare spazio" al 5G in tutta Italia. A fronte di una qualità di immagini superiore, così come una più efficiente trasmissione del segnale, gli utenti saranno chiamati a verificare se il proprio televisore sia compatibile con la nuova tecnologia o se debbano mettere nuovamente mano al portafoglio. Per conoscere il nostro destino basta un colpo di clic sul telecomando: bisogna sintonizzarsi sui canali 200 o 558, se sono visibili l'apparecchio non è da sostituire. In ogni caso, i televisori comprati prima del 2017 non hanno un sintonizzatore compatibile con DVB-T2 e il codec HEVC h.265, che è indispensabile per ricevere il nuovo segnale digitale. Sui tempi del passaggio c'è incertezza. La Rai dovrebbe accendere il primo Mux in DVB-T2 il prossimo 28 agosto. Al di là dei vantaggi da consumatori di tv, resta il rischio prospettato dal Codacons: secondo l'associazione, infatti potrebbero essere 10 milioni gli apparecchi da buttare o a cui affiancare un nuovo decoder.
