"Evitare escalation". Medioriente: la telefonata di Meloni al presidente dell'Iran

Il presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, nell'ambito dei contatti che sta tenendo in questi giorni sulla situazione in Medioriente, ha avuto oggi un colloquio telefonico con il Presidente della Repubblica Islamica d'Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian. È quanto riporta una nota di Palazzo Chigi in cui si precisa che la presidente Meloni ha sottolineato la necessità di scongiurare un allargamento del conflitto in corso a Gaza, anche con riferimento al Libano, invitando l'interlocutore a evitare un'ulteriore escalation e a riaprire la via del dialogo. Il Presidente ha infine reiterato il costante impegno dell'Italia a favorire la pace e la stabilità della regione attraverso il necessario raggiungimento del cessate il fuoco nella Striscia, la liberazione degli ostaggi e il rafforzamento dell'aiuto umanitario alla popolazione civile.
