Gaza, rilevato primo caso di polio in un bambino di 10 mesi

Roma, 17 ago. (askanews) - Il ministro della Sanità dell'Autorità palestinese, Majed Abou Ramadan, ha riferito, parlando a Ramallah, che si è registrato il primo caso di poliomielite che ha colpito "un bambino di dieci mesi", nella città di Deir al-Balah, nel centro della Striscia di Gaza. "La presenza di un caso positivo significa che potrebbero esserci centinaia di altri casi non rilevati", ha aggiunto. Le Nazioni Unite hanno chiesto "pause umanitarie" per vaccinare i bambini. A Gaza è il primo caso registrato dopo 25 anni.
