Il Papa tra giovani e anziani nell'ultimo giorno a Singapore

Roma, 13 set. (askanews) - Si è concluso il 45esimo viaggio apostolico di Papa Francesco che lo ha portato in Asia e Oceania per 12 giorni, il più lungo viaggio del suo pontificato. Nell'ultima giornata a Singapore, ultima tappa toccata dal Pontefice, Bergoglio ha tenuto una messa di fronte a 50.000 persone al National Stadium, poi ha fatto visita a un gruppo di anziani e malati presso la Saint Theresa's Home, prima di intrattenersi con i giovani del Catholic Junior College della città. Il Papa ha sfidato i problemi di salute per entrare in contatto con i credenti in quattro Paesi, dalla giungla della Papua Nuova Guinea ai grattacieli di Singapore, pronunciando 12 discorsi e 4 omelie, spostandosi con 7 voli aerei. Il decollo del volo della Singapore Airlines per il ritorno a casa è avvenuto alle 6.25 ora italiana. Al Singapore Changi Airport, Francesco è stato accolto dal Ministro della Cultura, della Comunità e della Gioventù nella Sala "Dendrobium" dello scalo dove si è intrattenuto per un breve colloquio prima di imbarcarsi per il volo della durata di oltre 12 ore.
