Il premier britannico Starmer promette azioni contro attacchi con coltello

Southport (Inghilterra), 30 lug. (askanews) - Il premier britannico Keir Starmer ha visitato la scena dell'attacco a coltellate a Southport, nel pressi di Liverpool, in cui sono state uccise tre bambine che frequentavano un corso di danza. "Sono molto preoccupato - ha deto - per gli alti livelli di criminalità da coltello e sono assolutamente determinato a far sì che il mio governo se ne occupi. Ma oggi non è il momento di fare politica. Oggi è il momento di concentrarsi interamente sulle famiglie che stanno attraversando un tale dolore e lutto e sulla comunità in generale. E naturalmente è il momento di ringraziare coloro che hanno risposto ieri nelle circostanze più orribili". Starmer ha deposto una corona di fiori bianchi tra i molti altri mazzi di fiori deposti dalla popolazione locale, poi è rimasto per qualche istante con il volto abbassato.
