In Sudcorea arrestatato il magnate del Web fondatore di Kakao

Milano, 23 lug. (askanews) - Kim Beom-su, il miliardario fondatore del gigante internet sudcoreano Kakao, è stato arrestato con l'accusa di aver manipolato i prezzi delle azioni durante l'acquisizione della società K-pop SM Entertainment. Fondato nel 2010, Kakao è cresciuto fino a diventare un impero tentacolare e possiede di tutto, da un'importante banca online alla più grande app di taxi della Corea del Sud, oltre a KakaoTalk, la più grande app di messaggistica del paese, installata sul 90% dei telefoni. Secondo l'accusa il magnate avrebbe acquistato azioni a prezzi gonfiati nel tentativo deliberato di contrastare un'offerta pubblica di acquisto da parte di HYBE, l'agenzia dietro le megastar del K-pop BTS.
