Iran: punire Israele per consolidare la sicurezza nella regione

Teheran, 5 ago. (askanews) -"Se l'Iran parla del suo diritto di punire l'aggressore, questa è un'azione volta a consolidare la sicurezza e la stabilità nella regione". A dirlo è il portavoce del ministero degli Esteri iraniano, Nasser Kanani, in conferenza stampa a Teheran. Dichiarazioni che non citano mai esplicitamente il nemico giurato Israele, ma parlano di "aggressore", e arrivano dopo che l'uccisione del leader politico di Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in un attacco attribuito a Israele solleva i timori di un conflitto regionale più ampio e mette nell'angolo i colloqui volti a porre fine alla guerra che dura da quasi dieci mesi a Gaza. "L'Iran non cerca di aumentare le tensioni nella regione. Se l'Iran parla del suo diritto di punire l'aggressore, questa è un'azione che contribuisce a consolidare la sicurezza e la stabilità nella regione" ha detto Kanani. "Crediamo che il consolidamento della stabilità e della sicurezza nella regione sarà raggiunto punendo l'aggressore e creando un effetto dissuasivo contro il comportamento avventuroso e il terrorismo extraterritoriale del regime sionista".
