Israele accusa: sulla risoluzione Onu 1701 l'Unifil ha fallito

Roma, 1 ott. (askanews) - Israele non aveva alternative che entrare nel sud del Libano con i suoi soldati per "smantellare" gli arsenali e gli operativi delle milizie filo-iraniane di Hezbollah che lanciano razzi contro i villaggi e le città del nord dello Stato ebraico, perché la comunità internazionale con i caschi blu dell'Unifil "ha fallito" e non è riuscita ad attuare la risoluzione Onu che mirava anche a impedire queste attività. L'accusa, che indirettamente riguarda anche il contingente dei caschi blu italiani, circa 1000 su 10.000 in tutto, provenienti da quasi 50 paesi, è stata lanciata dal portavoce dell'esercito di Israele, Daniel Hagari, per giustificare l'operazione di terra iniziata nella notte. "Per anni Israele ha avvertito il mondo che Hezbollah stava violando il diritto internazionale e la risoluzione 1701 del Consiglio di Sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite, che vieta la presenza di militanti armati e di armi nel Libano meridionale. Questa risoluzione è stata concordata dalla comunità internazionale e il Libano e l'UNIFIL missione di pace non sono riusciti ad applicarla". Hagari, con una presentazione corredata di video e infografica, ha affermato che le Israeli Defense Forces penetrate oltreconfine in territorio libanese avrebbero trovato tunnel e depositi di armi nascosti nei villaggi: "Le forze speciali dell'Idf sono entrate nei compound di Hezbollah in decine di località lungo il confine con Israele, hanno raccolto informazioni, smantellato le armi e le infrastrutture terroristiche di Hezbollah. I soldati hanno condotto un raid mirato in questa casa. E durante le scansioni nella stanza dei bambini, lì, sotto il letto, hanno individuato un cunicolo sotterraneo. Sono entrati nel pozzo e hanno scoperto un tunnel sotterraneo di cento metri scavato nella roccia. Le truppe hanno analizzato il tunnel e hanno trovato armi conservate in barili.
