L'IDF dice di aver "eliminato più di 17.000 terroristi" a Gaza

Tel Aviv, 16 ago. (askanews) - Il portavoce dell'esercito israeliano Daniel Hagari assicura che le sue truppe hanno "eliminato più di 17mila terroristi" a Gaza, dove la guerra tra Israele e Hamas, sostenuta da altri movimenti armati palestinesi, è entrata nell'undicesimo mese. L'Aeronautica israeliana ha colpito oltre 30 obiettivi nella Striscia di Gaza nelle ultime 24 ore. Le Forze di difesa israeliane (IDF) hanno ordinato l'evacuazione ai residenti dei quartieri settentrionali di Khan Yunis, nella parte meridionale della Striscia di Gaza, così come quelli nell'area di Deir al-Balah, precedentemente designate come zone sicure umanitarie. Tutto questo mentre a Doha si cerca di trovare un compromesso per arrivare a un cessate il fuoco. I colloqui per negoziare un accordo per il rilascio degli ostaggi tra Israele e Hamas continuano mentre sul campo si continua a combattere e a morire.
