Londra: accoltellate a Leicester Square una bambina e una donna

Milano, 12 ago. (askanews) - Londra, 12 ago. (askanews) - Una bambina di 11 anni e una donna di 34 sono state accoltellate a Leicester Square, piazza del centro di Londra molto popolare anche tra i turisti. Sono state medicate sul posto prima di essere portate in un ospedale, al centro traumatologico, dopo l'aggressione di questa mattina. La Polizia metropolitana di Londra ha dichiarato che un uomo è stato arrestato ed è attualmente in custodia. "Non crediamo che ci siano sospetti" in fuga, ha dichiarato la polizia in un post su X. Almeno sei agenti delle forze dell'ordine sono rimasti sulla scena del crimine nel centro della capitale britannica. Un cordone di polizia è stato prediposto intorno alle doppie porte del negozio TWG Tea. Il cordone si trova accanto a uno store della Lego e di fronte al negozio M&M; famiglie e turisti sono ancora in coda per entrare in questi punti vendita. Un portavoce del London Ambulance Service ha dichiarato di essere stato chiamato alle 11.36 del mattino (le 12.36 italiane) per una segnalazione di accoltellamento a Leicester Square.
