"L'organizzazione resta flessibile": Wimbledon, tam-tam impazzito su Kate Middleton

La terza giornata del torneo Wimbledon 2024 è partita e vedrà molti atleti contendersi il trofeo gareggiando sui campi "verdi" di Church Road. Oggi, mercoledì 3 luglio, sarà una giornata intensa, con tanti match ereditati dalle giornate precedenti e quelli già programmati. In particolare per gli azzurri, che alle 17:45 vedranno scendere in campo Jannik Sinner e Matteo Berrettini. Un "derby azzurro" che non terrà alta l'attenzione soltanto dei tifosi italiani e stranieri, ma anche della famiglia reale d'Inghilterra, presente sugli spalti per vedere i match. Sono numerose le personalità di spicco che assisteranno alle partite del torneo. Ma tra queste non compare il nome della principessa Kate Middleton, presente ogni anno per consegnare il trofeo al campione del torneo. Dopo la diagnosi della malattia, tanti si sono chiesti se quest'anno Kate potrà consegnare la celebre insalatiera. Debbie Jevans, la presidente dell'Aeltc (All England Lawn Tennis Club), ha dichiarato al Sun che "l'organizzazione rimarrà flessibile su chi consegnerà i trofei ai campioni di Wimbledon". Ma la stessa Jevans spera in cuor suo nel ritorno della moglie del principe William: "Speriamo che la principessa del Galles possa consegnare i trofei in qualità di patrona del Club, ma la sua guarigione e la sua salute sono la priorità. Non sappiamo se vedrà i match - ha dichiarato Jevans - anche se è una grande appassionata di tennis. Tutto quello che possiamo dire è che saremo disponibili per ogni sua esigenza".
