Marcinelle: Fidanza (Fdi-Ecr), 'prima grande tragedia nazionale del dopoguerra'

Roma, 8 ago. (Adnkronos) - “Era l'8 agosto del 1956 quando 136 minatori italiani persero la vita a Marcinelle, in Belgio. Fu la prima grande tragedia nazionale del nostro Dopoguerra, che accendeva i riflettori su una generazione di lavoratori emigranti italiani che fecero dell'umiltà e del sacrificio il loro essere. Dal 2001, per volere dell'indimenticato Mirko Tremaglia, l'8 agosto è la “Giornata del sacrificio del lavoro italiano nel mondo”. Oggi, come ogni anno, ricordiamo quei morti e mandiamo un abbraccio ai nostri connazionali all'estero”. Così sui social il capodelegazione di Fratelli d'Italia-Ecr al Parlamento europeo, Carlo Fidanza.
