Donald Trump ha parlato telefonicamente con il presidente ucraino Volodymyr Zelensky. L'ex presidente ha definito la conversazione "molto buona", aggiungendo che Zelensky si è congratulato con lui per la candidatura dei Repubblicani alle elezioni del 5 novembre e ha condannato l'attentato nei suoi confronti. "Come prossimo presidente degli Stati Uniti, porterò la pace nel mondo e porrò fine alla guerra che è costata così tante vite e devastato innumerevoli famiglie innocenti", ha dichiarato Trump, mentre Zelensky, in un post su X, ha spiegato che i due hanno concordato di tenere un incontro personale in futuro per discutere "quali passi possano rendere la pace giusta e veramente duratura".
