Ucraina: Trump, 'metterò fine alla guerra'

Washington, 20 lug. (Adnkronos) - L'ex presidente Donald Trump e il presidente ucraino Volodymyr Zelensky hanno avuto una conversazione telefonica ieri mentre la corsa presidenziale degli Stati Uniti incombe sul futuro della guerra in Ucraina. In un post sui social sulla telefonata, Trump ha ribadito che “metterà fine alla guerra” e che “entrambe le parti saranno in grado di riunirsi e negoziare un accordo che metta fine alla violenza”, ma non ha spiegato i termini di un eventuale accordo. Da parte sua, Zelensky ha affermato di aver sottolineato l'importanza del sostegno degli Stati Uniti all'Ucraina nel contesto dell'invasione russa e ha aggiunto che lui e Trump hanno concordato “di discutere in un incontro personale quali passi possono rendere la pace giusta e veramente duratura”.
