Mo: Abbas, 'Russia mediatore leale, non ne accettiamo esclusione da negoziati'

Ramallah, 14 ago. (Adnkronos) - La Palestina non accetterà in nessun caso l'esclusione della Russia dal processo di soluzione del conflitto in Medio Oriente. Lo ha detto alla Tass il presidente palestinese Mahmoud Abbas, dopo il suo incontro a Mosca con il presidente russo Vladimir Putin. La Russia "ha sempre cercato e sta cercando vie per una soluzione di pace" e si sta impegnando per "una soluzione giusta alla questione mediorientale, in conformità con il diritto internazionale", ha sottolineato Abbas. "E non dimentichiamo il suo ruolo nel 'Quartetto per il Medio Oriente' - ha aggiunto il presidente dell'Anp - Gli Stati Uniti hanno sempre voluto escludere la Russia da questo processo. In nessuna circostanza accetteremo l'esclusione della Russia da qualsiasi piattaforma di soluzione della crisi in Medio Oriente, perché ha una posizione veramente equa sulla questione mediorientale basata sul diritto internazionale", ha affermato Abbas.
