Beirut, 12 ago. (Adnkronos) - "La vendetta è un piatto che va servito freddo". Lo ha detto Nabih Berri, presidente del Parlamento del Libano e fedele alleato di Hezbollah, riferendosi al probabile attacco congiunto iraniano e della milizia sciita sua alleata contro Israele. In un'intervista al quotidiano libanese al-Jumhuriya, Berri afferma che la presunta decisione del primo ministro Benjamin Netanyahu di compiere gli omicidi mirati non riflette "il comportamento di qualcuno che vuole raggiungere un cessate il fuoco". "La risposta è inevitabile” dopo i recenti omicidi del comandante militare di Hezbollah, Fuad Shukr, in un attacco aereo israeliano a Beirut, e del leader di Hamas Ismail Haniyeh a Teheran, aggiunge Berri, non escludendo la possibilità di una guerra su larga scala tra Hezbollah e Israele finché Netanyahu rimarrà al potere e sottolineando che i gruppi sostenuti dall'Iran nella regione "stanno gestendo la battaglia in modo calcolato".
