Tel Aviv, 20 ago. (askanews) - Il premier israeliano Benjamin Netanyahu ha detto di sostenere la "proposta ponte" presentata agli ultimi colloqui per un accordo di cessate il fuoco nella Striscia di Gaza, ora spetta ad Hamas accettarla. Lo ha detto alla stampa a Tel Aviv il segretario di Stato Usa, Antony Blinken. Poi ha dichiarato di aver avuto un "incontro molto costruttivo" con Netanyahu, aggiungendo che il premier "mi ha confermato che Israele accetta la proposta ponte" presentata dagli Stati Uniti la scorsa settimana a Doha. "Ora tocca ad Hamas fare lo stesso", ha proseguito Blinken, dicendo di aver discusso anche della violenza dei coloni in Cisgiordania, sottolineando che "il governo israeliano deve agire per fermarla". Dopo l'incontro con il segretario di Stato americano Antony Blinken, il primo ministro israeliano Benjamin Netanyahu ha diffuso una dichiarazione video in cui ha affermato che i due hanno avuto "un incontro molto positivo e importante" e che la prima fase dell'accordo dovrà portare alla liberazione del massimo numero di ostaggi ancora vivi. "Voglio sottolineare", ha proseguito, "gli sforzi per liberare il numero massimo di ostaggi in vita, nella prima fase dell'accordo". La dichiarazione è stata rilasciata mentre Blinken stava tenendo una conferenza stampa a Tel Aviv.
