Nato: Bonelli, 'Meloni aumenta spese militari ma per scuola, tpl e sanità no investimenti'

Roma, 10 lug. (Adnkronos) - “La premier Meloni alza ancora la spesa militare all'1,6% del PIL. Da Washington annuncia che l'Italia rispetterà gli impegni del 2% per le armi. Nel frattempo però gli impegni per la sanità, il trasporto pubblico, l'istruzione e il contrasto alla povertà per questo governo possono aspettare. La spesa militare italiana ha raggiunto 35,5 miliardi di dollari nel 2023, posizionando l'Italia al dodicesimo posto a livello globale. Rispetto al 2014, c'è stato un aumento del 31%, pari a 2.443 miliardi di dollari". Così in una nota il deputato di Avs, Angelo Bonelli. "Meloni deve venire in Aula a spiegare perché ha deciso questo aumento senza una discussione parlamentare. È inaccettabile che si trovino fondi per aumentare le spese militari mentre 5,6 milioni di persone vivono in povertà. Le spese per la difesa a livello mondiale hanno raggiunto la cifra record di 2.443 miliardi di dollari, con l'Europa che spende 300 miliardi, contro gli 80 della Russia e i 290 della Cina. Questa follia rischia di impoverire ulteriormente il nostro Paese e di distogliere risorse vitali dai settori che ne hanno più bisogno. La transizione verde ha un costo e va finanziata per tutelare i nostri cittadini più deboli e le piccole e medie imprese. Al contrario, il governo Meloni preferisce investire in armi, ignorando i bisogni reali della popolazione”.
