Naufragio Palermo, in azione anche robot per la ricerca dei dispersi

Palermo, 21 ago. (askanews) - Mentre proseguono senza sosta, dalle prime ore dell'alba, le operazioni di ricerca dei 6 dispersi del naufragio dello yacht "Bayesian" con l'impiego di risorse navali, aeree e subacquee, coordinate dalla Guardia Costiera di Palermo, sono state potenziate le indagini subacquee condotte dai sommozzatori dei Nuclei Sub Guardia Costiera di Napoli e Messina, che stanno operando con l'ausilio di un ulteriore veicolo subacqueo a controllo remoto (ROV - Remotely Operated Vehicle), dalle performanti caratteristiche. Il "robot" - informa la Guardia Costiera - è capace di operare sul fondale marino ad una quota fino a 300 metri e un'autonomia tra le 6 e le 7 ore. Il dispositivo messo in campo dalla Guardia Costiera, dotato di un'avanzata tecnologia che permette di indagare i fondali e di registrare video e immagini dettagliate, punta a fornire elementi utili e puntuali per ricostruire la dinamica dell'incidente a beneficio della Procura della Repubblica di Termini Imerese.
