Nuova ondata di esplosioni mortali in Libano

Beirut, 18 set. (askanews) - I libanesi si sono radunati fuori dal centro medico dell'Università americana di Beirut, dopo che mercoledì nove persone sono state uccise e oltre 300 ferite a causa dell'esplosione dei walkie-talkie. La nuova raffica di scoppi mortali segue quella dei cercapersone utilizzati da Hezbollah, che ha ucciso 12 persone e ferite circa 2.800. Le esplosioni si sono verificate nella periferia meridionale di Beirut, così come nelle città di Nabatieh, Tiro e Saida nel Libano meridionale. Una fonte di Hezbollah ha confermato che i walkie-talkie usati dal gruppo sono stati presi di mira. Una fonte di sicurezza di alto livello ha affermato che le esplosioni sono state di piccole dimensioni, simili all'attacco di ieri.
