Nuovo appello alla pace di Papa Francesco “Si cessi subito il fuoco”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Papa Francesco è tornato a invocare la pace in Medio Oriente, durante l'Angelus. “Rivolgo con preoccupazione il mio pensiero al conflitto fra Palestina e Israele, che rischia di allargarsi ad altre città palestinesi”, ha sottolineato il Pontefice, aggiungendo: “Faccio un appello affinchè non si fermino i negoziati, si cessi subito il fuoco, si rilascino gli ostaggi e si soccorra la popolazione a Gaza dove si stanno anche diffondendo tante malattie, inclusa la poliomielite”. “Sia pace in Terra Santa, sia pace in Gerusalemme – ha proseguito -. La città santa sia luogo di incontro dove i cristiani, gli ebrei e i musulmani si sentano rispettati e accolti. E nessuno metta in discussione lo status quo dei rispettivi luoghi santi”. Poi, ha rivolto il suo pensiero all'Ucraina. “Sono vicino al martoriato popolo ucraino duramente colpito da attacchi contro le infrastrutture energetiche che, oltre a causare molti feriti, hanno lasciato più di un milione di persone senza elettricità e acqua”, ha detto Papa Francesco, che ha manifestato “dolore anche per gli attentati in Burkina Faso”. “Ricordiamoci che la voce degli innocenti trova sempre ascolto presso Dio, che non rimane indifferente alla loro sofferenza”, ha sottolineato il Santo Padre.Inoltre, ha chiesto di pregare per il viaggio in Asia, che comincerà domani.– foto Agenzia Fotogramma –(ITALPRESS).
