Open Arms: legale Mediterranea, 'provvedimento Mare Jonio vessatorio e illegittimo'

Palermo, 20 set. (Adnkronos) - Il provvedimento della Capitaneria di porto che nei giorni scorsi ha eseguito una ispezione sulla nave Mare Jonio della ong Mediterranea Saving Humans "è stato illegittimo e vessatorio". Lo ha detto l'avvocato Fabio Lanfranca, legale di Mediterranea, nel suo intervento al processo Open Arms all'aula bunker Pagliarelli di Palermo. "La Mare Jonio è l'unica nave di soccorso civile battente bandiera italiana, questo non è stato un privilegio, anzi ha determinato una particolare attenzione da parte delle autorità italiane che non le hanno mai consentito di navigare in acque tranquille - dice Lanfranca- Dopo 10 ore di ispezione è stato ordinato alla nave di dismettere tutti i mezzi di soccorso presenti a bordo. Non era mai accaduto prima. Si tratta di un provvedimento inedito, vessatorio, oltre che illegittimo, che verrà impugnato nelle sedi opportune", spiega Lanfranca.
