Operazione russa, "ci saranno problemi". Voci dalla Lituania: l'Europa trema

"Non entriamo troppo nei dettagli, ma ci sarà un periodo difficile, tra metà maggio e l'inizio di giugno". L'avvertimento è del capo dell'intelligence militare ucraina Kyrylo Budanov in un'intervista alla Bbc in cui ha parlato della situazione al fronte. L'esercito russo "sta conducendo un'operazione complessa" e "crediamo che nel prossimo futuro ci attenda una situazione piuttosto difficile. Ma dobbiamo capire che non sarà catastrofica", ha aggiunto Boudanov. "L'Armageddon non avverrà, contrariamente a quanto molti dicono in questo momento. Ma da metà maggio ci saranno problemi", ha aggiunto. A parlare di "azione coordinata" della Russia contro i Paesi Ue che aiutano Kiev è invece il ministro degli Esteri lituano Gabrielius Landsbergis. "In Germania - sottolinea dal Lussemburgo, a margine del Consiglio Esteri e Difesa - un paio di persone sono state arrestate con un piano per organizzare un sabotaggio o qualche attività ibrida per quanto riguarda l'addestramento degli ucraini. Ne parlerò anche nel Consiglio, perché stiamo assistendo a eventi molto simili nella nostra regione, non solo in Lituania, ma anche in Estonia e Lettonia". "Sembra esserci un'azione coordinata contro i Paesi europei che viene dalla Russia: deve essere affrontata. Dobbiamo capire davvero come affrontare la minaccia". Da Mosca, invece, assicurano come il nuovo pacchetto di aiuti americani all'Ucraina non cambierà la situazione sul campo di battaglia, ma porterà a un aumento del numero dei morti ucraini. "Fondamentalmente, questo non cambierà la situazione sul campo di battaglia - ha spiegato il portavoce della presidenza russa Dmitry Peskov - naturalmente, i soldi stanziati e le armi che verranno fornite con questi soldi non porteranno a un cambiamento in questa dinamica, porteranno a nuove vittime tra gli ucraini. L'Ucraina subirà grandi perdite". Anche per questo, forse, il ministro degli Esteri ucraino Dmytro Kuleba intervenendo in videocollegamento sempre al Consiglio Ue Esteri-Difesa torna ad appellarsi agli alleati: "Possiamo prevenire gli scenari peggiori se agiamo insieme e senza paura. Oggi abbiamo bisogno di decisioni concrete e coraggiose per fornire all'Ucraina altri sistemi Patriot e Samp/T, missili, artiglieria e munizioni e altre armi ed equipaggiamenti il prima possibile. Ora che siete tutti qui al tavolo, è il momento di agire, non di discutere".
