Papa Francesco è arrivato in Indonesia

Roma, 3 set. (askanews) - Il Papa è arrivato in Indonesia. È iniziato così il 45esimo viaggio apostolico internazionale di Francesco che lo porterà a visitare, in undici giorni, Indonesia, Papua Nuova Guinea, Timor Est e Singapore. L'aereo con a borgo il pontefice e il suo seguito è atterrato alle ore 11.30 locali (le 6.30 italiane) all'Aeroporto Internazionale "Soekarno-Hatta" di Giacarta, dove Francesco è stato accolto dal Ministro per gli Affari Religiosi indonesiano e da due bambini in abito tradizionale che gli hanno donano dei fiori. Dopo il saluto delle delegazioni e della Guardia d'Onore, il Papa si è trasferito in auto alla Nunziatura Apostolica dove sarà ricevuto all'ingresso dell'edificio dal personale, da un gruppo di malati e da un gruppo di migranti e rifugiati. Qui celebrerà messa in privato. Nella prima giornata non sono previsti incontri o interventi pubblici, Francesco trascorrerà la giornata nella sede diplomatica anche per riposare dopo il lungo viaggio e il diverso fuso orario.
