Perché il bimbo non ha avuto scampo: così il pitbull l'ha ucciso

La procura di Vercelli ha aperto un fascicolo per appurare eventuali responsabilità sulla morte del piccolo Michele, bimbo di soli cinque mesi azzannato a morte sabato mentre era in braccio alla nonna nel cortile di un'abitazione di Palazzolo (Vercelli). Il bambino è stato improvvisamente assalito dal cane di proprietà dei genitori, in quel momento fuori casa, che lo ha morsicato nella parte posteriore del collo e sul cranio. È l'ennesimo episodio del genere - solo pochi giorni fa l'altra simile tragedia avvenuta a Campolongo di Eboli (Salerno), dove due pitbull hanno di fatto ucciso un bimbo di 13 mesi che si trovava in braccio allo zio. E ora anche la politica pare porsi davvero il problema dei cani pericolosi. Secondo Giorgio Mulé, vicepresidente della Camera e deputato di Forza Italia, è ormai necessaria «una riflessione immediata sulla capacità di possedere e saper gestire cani che potenzialmente possono uccidere».
