(askanews) - Il re britannico Carlo III ha dato il benvenuto al nuovo primo ministro Keir Starmer a Buckingham Palace per la sua prima udienza dopo la vittoria schiacciante del partito laburista alle elezioni generali del Regno Unito. Il risultato pone fine a 14 anni di governo conservatore, con Starmer che diventa il primo premier laburista del re da quando è salito al trono.
